NON-OPERATED WORKING INTEREST

UNDERSTANDING NON-OPERATED INVESTING

A Non-Operated Working Interest (NWI) is an ownership share in an oil or gas well where the interest holder does not manage or operate the well. While the non-operator does not participate in the day-to-day operations, they are still financially involved, sharing both the costs and revenues from the well’s production. This allows the interest holder to benefit from the well’s output without having to take on the responsibilities of running it.
This arrangement provides a way to invest in energy production without requiring direct oversight of the well’s activities. It creates the opportunity for strong financial returns and job creation.
